The Adventures of AlisterComputeron

Yeah, this is just another WordPress.com weblog.  Just another Internet yahoo who wants to write a blog, thinking that others will care what he has to say.

I’m IT Superhero, AlisterComputeron.  My real identity must be kept secret.  My passion is helping people use their technology and overcoming the inevitable problems associated with computers, software, gadgets, and what-not.  I work for a small company in somewhere in Colorado.  We have an IT staff of seven, including our IT manager, who has the official title of Chief Technology Officer.

My role on the IT staff is the network administrator and backup help desk guy.  However, I do get to have a lot of interaction with the users.  I readily admit that I have a superhero complex, and enjoy “rescuing” users from the “evil” things that technology can do.  Sometimes, I have to rescue users from themselves, because if you’re ever dealt with users, you know they can get into trouble all by themselves.  But I really do enjoy helping them out of jams, whether they caused it or not.  It makes me feel good and feel needed to get the thanks and the pats on the back when I help someone solve a problem.

So this blog will chronical my adventures as I attempt to protect and help mankind in my little corner of the world.
